Starlinger - gripTEC technology

textile packaging Advantages • The gripTEC technology can be used on the surface of all kinds of flexible plastic packaging such as PP/PE films and woven structures. • SG technology: The anti-slip effect is not affected by environmental conditions. • gripTEC particles can be applied on printed and coated surfaces (bonding agents might be required). • Stable packaging reduces material loss and increases operational safety. • Palletized bags keep their structure, allowing efficient and uninterrupted handling. • Less or even no film wrapping is necessary. Machines pictured may include equipment sold as options. With our anti-slip test procedure we can demonstrate the grip performance and compare different packaging solutions. The COF (coefficient of friction principle) employs the adhesive effect of the particles. The SG (self-grip) principle additionally employs the interlocking effect of the particles. The gripTEC machine operates with different grip technologies such as the COF and the SG principle. Depending on the anti-slip requirements the client can choose between technologies. The COF technology uses adhesive effect of the grip particles therefore, they are applied only on one side of the packaging.. The COF grip effect can be reduced in dusty or humid environments. The SG technology is additionally using the interlocking effect between the particles and has therefore to be applied on both sides of the packaging. The interlocking grip effect is widely insensitive to dust and humidity.
